Can anyone suggest a good minimum system specification for a home office machine? I'm looking to spend around 300 for a desktop PC. Any ideas or what to look for would be good. I'm only doing word, excel email etc.
Well for what you want to do with it just about anything will work. I know that Walmart sells good desktop systems for around 300 and eBay should have just about anything you want. I would highly recommend HP's line of media desktops. The pavilions are awesome systems and they sell them cheap.Hope this helps! matt
I agree. HP / Compaqs are great computers for the home. Be sure to ask what you are buying. You don't want to go home and have stuff you will never use.
It is all about what you want to spend on it, but I think its fair to say that a basic internet machine good for office work etc can be bought from Tesco or the likes for around three to four hundred pounds.
