i mean i thought govenments were stupid, now i see they are not stupid they are corrupt.

and bits of me keep breaking down, not that i mind its j a pain at times.

oh and i dont have the same respect for doctors as i had, i used to think they were so much more than what they are..

now the police i have respect for also nurses, the fire service are all up there where they belong..

on the bright side i need less. so i dont have to spend as much on shopping, and thats another thing. and i dont want to spend as much on heating, its not that i am not cold its just i dont care that i am cold.

and i still feel the same as i did when i was young, i just dont know the person in the mirror.

i wonder is it me, or is that what it is like to get old.....

    alan tee, old chap:

As I notice, you are still a young man, listing your age as only 59 years old. So, you've still got many good years ahead of you.
Why do I say this? Because I'll be 79 in a few months.
I think what counts is one's outlook on life and when looking at your post entries they almost all point to a negative attitude.
Try to change that and it will make you feel younger.

    hi kutte
i dont know if you know this or not, but britain is a negative country. its not what you do if you do well that hits the headlines, its if you do badly that is front page news. negativity is everywhere and i am tired of it to be honest, in 1939 we had hope for what was comming. we seemed to have lost it somewhere, maybe its the MPs that steal bread out of our mouths. while all the time saying its bad to be dishonest, and if you are we will take you very home. and make you and your family homless if we think its right.
so much for our rights, in fact if you were to ask me i would say we are at the wim of the MPs. thats the rights we have in this country, they are now saying the unemployed should work for there benefit. is that why they paid a stamp, and if they dont they will loose what ever the hell they choose at the time. britain is a powder keg, they dont see it because so is every other country. they cannot see the wood for the trees...

well in america as well, the govt is trying to save the banks for getting bankrupt by giving them aid which are acutally the tax payers money, well talking of negativity, in realistic sense its over everywhere, in somalia, afganistan, India, Pakistan i mean where even i try to see good i cant, it seems that there is a great shift in the mind of the people they just dont want to do the right thing,, although its true that there are many external factors that influence or as force them to do things but its not impossible to live in a good way even now..
the the rights well honestly i really doubt that people in any democracatic country does have any right, i mean i tried to file a complaint against a illegal liquor shop owner and the police wont register a case why because that shop onwer happens to be close to the ruling party,, i mean whats the use of such rights where i have to fight and foce my own countrys law just to file a case againt a crime,
i dont think we have much rights left as democratic citizens in any country the govt seems to reserve all the rights for themselves leaving us with mere imaginary rights that would never be given to us,, and the democractic election is a pure joke on us all the govt would even go to the extend of hacking the electronic voting machines and this has already happened more than once in india

    Alan tee,

I understand what you are saying.
Look, I have been in the media business for most of my life and there is this saying, that "good" news is "no" news.
Most people relish reading about, watching or listening to sensational mayhem happening anywhere. Who would value information telling radio listeners that today 100 000 cars drove without accidents? The emphasis however is being put on a report telling about 1 accident which caused two fatalities.

I don't think that all politicians are dishonest or give in to bribes. But here too, people tend to generalize. If a few corrupt politicians make headlines because they gave in to bribes from corporate lobbyists, then we like to think that the everyone in politics is a crook.
I don't know enough about British politics to judge what is going on in your country, but the fact is that every European country, the US too, needs some belt tightening because everybody borrowed and spent more than what was being made.

In America, everybody talks about making money. I wonder sometimes what happened to "earning" money?

    My best, Kutte

well most people now-a-days right from politicans to busniess man just make money on all the illegal terms but they want respect
in india Ratan Tata the owner of TATA groups of busniess a big name in indian busniess community was found bribeing the govt official to give him unfair advantage over others in a telecom scam but since he is a big name, no one came up with any evidence, the same opposite way people in the aviation ministry made money but buying more than necessary planes from boeing company but yet nothing happend to them as well,, so its the honest people who has to follow laws not the criminals

i could not still get the police to register a case against a liquor shop owner clearly his business is illegal but he has ties to the ruling party so no action is taken against him,,
its a joke how the police system is actually helping the criminals and someone tries to raise his voice agasint injustice they are forced tokeep quiet and then the govt say that please give us vote we will solve peoblems of the common man,, such a mindless irony

well they dont me i will be back to get that complain registered, i dont give a damn if he is from the ruling party of the opposition party or anywhere else,, i will continue my fight agsint any form of evil that i find
althought it has brought me more troubles then others like when i complained about a bribe i was asked for by a municipal officer to the municipal chairman my work was stopped for 6 months but still i did not back down as made that official say sorry to me in front of the chairman for asking for a bribe,,
and troubles well its seems that like me they cant live away from me for very long ehehehehheheh,,

    hi newgod
so it begs the question whats the good of democracy, that we should fight to keep it. when all that profit from it are the cut purses of the world, that seem to say, do as i say not as i do. or we will lock you up or worse, that is not democracy. just a off shute that the corrupt can use, as a excuse for manipulating the people. and if the do not stop they will loose it all together, and people will look around for something better. as they do! and then fascism will rise again. and that is what all these bankers and MPs and people that live and dont pay there depts are starting again. it happend before, and we seem to be going down the same road to the letter. are people stupid or what, that the do not learn from history....

    newgod,

I admire your bravery of trying to fight the establisment in your country. It may help if you can enlist some like minded friends to join you. Power is in numbers, you know.
Of course, some times a lonely wolf can accomplish a lot, as your great country man Mahatma Gandhi once demonstrated by forcing the British colonial power to give up on India.

honesly speaking there aren't many you help me with my work, no one wants to get in trouble that too with the political parties and all, because they think that will affect their pro and personal lifes as they would go down to all levels to scare your or create troubles for you,,
when i went to register a case against a strong builder, the police said that they would put some fake charges on me and out me to jail,, no one really wants to get in that kind of trouble, many support from outside but not actively,
anyways i will be doing what i do, thats how god made me,, so if someone has to blame someone, blame God ehehehehehheeh

    and well alan
the thing about democracy is that it has to be administered correctly,, in demo the main power should be with the hands of the people,, but in all demo countries clearly the power is with the govt, the main basic principle of demo has been erased,, the wrong implementation of demo caused it to fail even though basically demo is a good technique that i can say,
the govt use everything it can to stay in power the so called democratically elected govt of india has been found guilty of hacking the electronic voting machines to make sure that they win, not the person that the public choose,, i mean this is clear dictatorship in the name of demo,, how some can trust the govt if they are involved in rigging elections to stay in power,,
but they are the govt no one would say anything against them,
in a election when i asked that the electronic voting machines are check and made sure that they are operational on a neutral state or not the people in charge said that we are not liable to answer your questions as we are the govt and we dont care who or what you are
i left without giving my vote as it would make no differnce the result was already predecided

    hi newgod
i feel we are on the cusp of a wind of change, or should i say more like a typhoon the trouble is with typhoons is. they leave a mess behind them, and that is what is happening here. it was going along just as most tropical storms, but now it is somthing else. and i feel it is out of control just like a typhoon or a hurricane and it will now have to burn its self out..

and the euro i went on radio today as saying its like the titanic, its like they are all saying it will not sink. while it gets lower and lower into the frozen water, and everyone know that who is on board are doomed. it keeps sending a SOS but there is no more money to bail them out, and so the get out that some are hoping for will never come. or the boats will be to small to do any good at all, for to many will try to save them selves and it will tip over and no one will be saved........

@alan tee ... i remember a long time ago that the pound was going to be scrapped in favor of the euro and getting people to try the newest fancy craze ..... i bet those who arrange that test just wished they hadnt bothered ,... the euro isnt worth anything but faced with our great pound and its a great pound ... we have had it many years ... thats why before anyone asks why call it that ..its doing better than the euro its always done better than the euro against the dollar and the pound put together ....

you know i was thinking out our goverment .... how they remind me of the ferengi

yes folks i am afraid the secrets out ... david cameron , nick clegg are ferengi

i feel all this is interconnected,, i mean really, rise in polulation, increasing pollutions by man, natural imbalances, lose of faith in religion, increasing crime rate, wars, energy crysis, intolrence amoug people, hate, social degradation, crumbling of the top of the society, absense of good people, killing in the name of God, rise of evil on earth etc
i mean sounds like a well though plan i mean everything is going wrong but in a correct way, a perfect rhythm, everything is going step by step, interconnected, like a domino affect,
plan of God to justify The End,

    hi mike
no! i think the ferengi are more honest, without a doubt our MPs are more like estate agents on acid i would say. hi on the fact they can screw us, at any time they like and there is nothing we can do about it.

Age is not physical its mental as well so getting old kind of depends on person to person
  15. johnw2738 New Member

We don't know that we all will get old or not, the people who are old are also blessed with mercy of god!
  16. Kutte Member

    johnw,

It all depends on the quality of life when being old.
When suffering physical ailments and on top of that the Alzheimers disease at the age of 85, then 'old' per-se can hardly be called a blessing.

its a phase we should accept it, its like everything else around, first things are created then they go stronger and better to a peak then they must go down as well so before the end a reverse process has to be administered which means the opposite of growing strong and better,, so its not somthing that can be avioded in any way
